Our Partners

ScholarCHIPS is a well-respected organization, with strong ties to the DC community. The work we do is strengthened by those connections and the partnerships we have diligently fostered over the last 12 years. These partnerships enable us to offer resources to help educate and guide our scholars during a pivotal point in their academic and personal lives.

Spur Local (Formerly: The Catalogue for Philanthropy:
Greater Washington)

ScholarCHIPS was recently named a 2023 Spur Local Partnership. This partnership will be active from 2023-2027. ScholarCHIPS was initially accepted and named a Catalogue for Philanthropy partner and “one of the best” local nonprofits in 2019-2020 and again in 2021-2022. The Catalogue for Philanthropy: Greater Washington is the region’s only locally-focused guide to giving and volunteering. The Catalogue believes in the power of small nonprofits to spark big change. The Catalogue’s goal is to create visibility for local charities, fuel their growth with philanthropic dollars, and support a movement for social good and justice in our region.

Since 2003, the Catalogue has raised more than $50 million for its network of local nonprofits. The Catalogue reviews each organization’s impact, the community need they address, and how they involve the community in their work. The Catalogue also conduct financial reviews and site visits so you can support them with confidence.

The Catalogue highlights critical local charities, and their work, to show what is possible when caring community members connect with worthy causes, acting together on behalf of the greater good. The Catalogue’s vision is a stronger, more resilient, more equitable community, here, where we live.
